Our vision

Behind every new beginning there’s more than hard work and commitment.
It’s the passion, the love for what we do, and the belief in creating something meaningful that truly make the journey worth it.

None of this would have been possible without our teachers, who have led us through the Jivamukti path with love and care, supporting us and standing behind us — especially when we couldn’t stand for ourselves.

Now, it’s time to share that same light.
To create a home for practice, study, and connection.
To build a community grounded in compassion, curiosity, and joy.

The Founders

Claudia Schettini

program DIRECTOR
More Info

Claudia is an Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher. With a background in international security and a Ph.D. in Global Politics and Cybersecurity, she has carried a deep love for yoga for nearly 15 years.

Claudia first discovered the Jivamukti method  in London during her studies and felt called to become a teacher, inspired by the light and transformation the practice brought into her life. For her, yoga is a reminder that we don’t need to change our reality to find happiness — sometimes it’s simply a matter of shifting perspective and looking with the heart.

From the very beginning of this lifelong journey, Claudia has been learning and growing alongside her cherished teacher and mentor, Olga Oskorbina, to whom she owes her deepest gratitude. Her mission is to share the light and wisdom of Jivamukti Yoga, creating in Milan a welcoming space for others to explore, connect, and thrive, alongside the other two amazing co-founders.

Caterina Yuka Sforza

STUDIO DIRECTOR
More Info

Caterina, of Japanese and Italian heritage, has called Giambellino home for the past seven years. Here, she found a welcoming community, started a family, and is now eager to give back by helping create a space where everyone feels they belong and can explore a meaningful yoga practice.

Her journey with yoga began in Australia, where she studied Ashtanga and Vinyasa. In 2013, she earned her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in Vinyasa and began teaching in studios across Sydney. Two years later, she launched her own yoga business on the Isle of Skye, sharing her passion with a growing community.

After a decade of experience, Caterina is now ready to open a new studio in Milan, alongside two extraordinary women who share her vision — creating a nurturing space for connection, growth, and the transformative power of yoga.

Karianne Kvalheim

Now, she’s thrilled to open a new studio in the Milan neighborhood she loves — a project born from the shared vision of three co-founders committed to creating a better tomorrow for ourselves, our children, and our community, while staying connected to the global Jivamukti family.

Monica Macchi

800hr CERTIFIED
More Info

Monica is an 800‑hour certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher. She first encountered yoga at age 18 in a small room in Northern Italy, but it was in her twenties, on a crowded yoga mat in London after completing her Master’s degree in Comparative Literature, that she felt a deep calling — a new connection ignited through the Jivamukti method.

To explore this calling further, Monica completed a 50‑hour YTT with Sianna Sherman, a 200‑hour Ashtanga Yoga YTT, and in 2022 a 300‑hour Jivamukti Yoga YTT with Yogeswari and Moritz Ulrich. She then completed her apprenticeship program with Tone Haugland in Stavanger, deepening her understanding of the method and its philosophy.

Her multifaceted interests allow her to see the world from many perspectives, yet it is through yoga practice and study, guided by her teachers, that everything comes together — like a grateful dance. This journey has strengthened her belief in the transformative power of yoga, both on and off the mat.

Monica’s intention is to serve and inspire others, sharing the Jivamukti method exactly as she has learned it from her teachers.

Simona Marchini

YIN- YANG YOGA TEACHER
More Info

After 20 years of on-and-off practice, in 2017 she discovered vinyasa and fell in love with it. The discovery of movement flowing in coordination with the breath, the perception of energy moving through the body, and the bits of philosophy introduced during practice by the teachers made this world increasingly fascinating. In 2018 she decided to immerse herself in study with the 250-hour hatha yoga training at Home Street Yoga with Migliavacca and De Paulis. Between 2019 and 2020, she also completed the 100-hour yin-yang training and the 50-hour yin training, again at Home Street Yoga. Her personal practice also includes kundalini, and she is currently directing her exploration of the body and energy toward the Grinberg Method. She have always dedicated herself with consistency and discipline to intense practices, but after a few injuries she began devoting more time to yin practice and to exploring the realm of “being” and of passivity. She have learned to welcome what muscle relaxation and stillness can reveal, bringing attention to deep and unexplored places. During her classes, she shares both aspects of the practice — the yang and the yin.

Pamela Malo

300hr certified
More Info

Pamela was born and raised in Ecuador and now calls beautiful Italy home.
Her journey with yoga began through Transcendental Meditation (TM), which gradually led her to explore āsana practice. After completing a Hatha–Vinyasa training in Barcelona in 2022, she felt something was still missing — until she discovered the Jivamukti Yoga Method.

Pamela was immediately captivated by Jivamukti’s coherent philosophy and its deep commitment to Ahimsa (non-harming) through veganism. This connection felt so authentic that she decided to immerse herself fully in the practice, completing the Jivamukti Teacher Training to deepen her understanding of the method.

She loves meaningful conversations and finding stillness in nature — especially when the two meet.
